This is the 2024 U.S. Census Bureau raw data with all of the ethnicity filters (ancestry/race) that we use to create our handmade graphs for The Personal Finance Wizards, LLC set to active. This data is presented exactly as provided by the U.S. Census Bureau, so any potential discrepancies would be entirely unintentional.
At the time of this writing, the U.S. Census website is unavailable due to the ongoing government shutdown. However, we’ve made many graphs like this before and already have the Excel sheet downloaded prior to the shutdown. The data is the most recent available from the U.S. Census site, covering information for 2024 and released to the public in 2025. So, this is the Excel sheet we obtained earlier this year from the U.S. Census Bureau, which includes all the ethnicity filters (defined by us as ancestry or race) that we use to create our graphs.
If you prefer to wait until the site is back online to verify the data directly, you can use the source link below to access it from the official U.S. Census Bureau website. If the ethnicity or ethnicities aren’t already preselected, you’ll need to manually apply them in Table S0201 by clicking the filter tab and navigating to the race and ancestry sections to select the specific group you’d like to view. Feel free to reach out to us directly on social media or via email with any questions you may have. We'd be happy to assist.
Also, some of the graphs we’ve created using this data require a bit of calculation on your end such as our Total Food Stamps by Ethnicity chart which uses each group’s SNAP usage percentage and household count to calculate the final number. We create our graphs to serve our audience by turning raw data into clear, visually appealing visuals with nice colors and emojis.
