For those who have been following us for a while, this post likely won’t come as a surprise. We focus only on investments that reliably build or preserve wealth. While some options (i.e. real estate) can make certain people wealthy, we evaluate what works best for most people most of the time. Real estate historically appreciates much slower than our favorite asset, the S&P 500, and comes with high costs, risk, and management challenges. Crypto is extremely volatile and unreliable, while sports betting, individual stocks, and options trading are essentially gambling. Gold can be an okay investment and has performed well recently, but historically it has barely outpaced inflation.
If your goal is to get rich, low-cost index funds are the most efficient and reliable path. They are low-risk, affordable, easy to manage, and high-performing. Bonds, high-yield savings accounts, and money market funds are excellent money moves to preserve wealth safely and reliably.
